Vendredi/Friday 3.05.2019. Porto Leone. Kalamos
demain.
Friday, May 3, 2019
Quiet night, black and starry. At 8:00 am, the church
bell rings and shortly after, three fishing boats bring people and a priest and
there is a mass. Jens inflates the zodiac and we go to land. The people, about ten
of them, come out of the church with each a religious image and a piece of
bread in their hands. Then they leave by boat. We walk on the road to the
south. Incredible that we came here by bike on April 2, 2018! The road is all
broken down and passable only by all-terrain car. We meet an Italian couple with
a little girl. They are also anchored in the bay of Porto Leone. We start to
speak English but change to French when they tell us that they are living in
France, so that Emma (6 years old) can follow the conversation. We return to
Hera II, eat lunch and after coffee and stillestund (quiet moment), we go back
to land. The wind is stronger and Jens has to row hard. We want to see the
ruined mill south of the abandoned village. What an obstacle course! The path
has almost disappeared, the bushes are stinging and large cobwebs are blocking
the way. Fortunately, we can walk on the beach quite a distance. We get there
and come back. Jens is making dinner, omelet with green peas and I make the
salad. We are only two boats now, the wind will turn S-E tonight, but will be
weak until tomorrow.
