Nous partons vers 9 h par un temps calme, et cela va être calme pendant deux heures à peu près. Puis le ciel s’assombrit et le vent se lève, force 5 contre nous, mais les vagues sont petites. Hera II passe imperturbable et nous avons une bonne vitesse, entre 5,5 et 6 nœuds. Le vent est fort et, parfois, de fortes rafales arrivent. L’anémomètre enregistre 14, puis 16 m/s (force 7) mais le 16 m/s ne dure que quelques secondes, je n’ai même pas le temps de prendre une photo. Nous passons l’ile d’Atoko où nous avions ancré avec notre Maja dans la « One House Bay » en juillet 2015, puis longeons Ithaca vers le sud. Nous tournons le coin sud d’Ithaca et passons devant « Ay Andreas Bay » où nous avions ancré avec Hera II. Nous traversons le fjord entre l’ile d’Ithaca et l’ile de Céphalonie, le vent est toujours fort et toujours de face même après avoir changé de direction, il suit la côte. Nous arrivons à Efimia vers 14 h. Le chef de port prend nos amarres et nous reconnait, dit-il. Nous avions passé quelques heures ici en octobre 2018, le temps de déposer nos amis Knut et Margrethe. Nous nous mettons comme d’habitude le nez sur le quai et l’ancre derrière. C’est assez calme dans le port mais avec de bonnes rafales par moment. Lunch, stillestund et quelques courses à pied. Puis première balade en vélo dans la vallée derrière Efimia. Nous avons le choix : la route ou un chemin de terre. Jens veut essayer le chemin de terre mais il est vraiment caillouteux et nous n’allons pas bien loin. C’est en fait un chemin de randonnée, une carte sur le port en montre plusieurs. Le temps est variable, éclaircies puis nuageux et même un peu de pluie. Nous dinons dehors mais il se met à pleuvoir et la moitié de la table est mouillée, mais sous l’auvent ça va.

We leave around 9 am in calm weather, and it will be quiet for about two hours. Then the sky darkens and the wind rises, force 5 against us, but the waves are small. Hera II goes unperturbed and we have good speed, between 5.5 and 6 knots. The wind is strong and sometimes even stronger gusts come. The anemometer records 14, then 16 m / s (force 7) but the 16 m / s lasts only a few seconds, I don’t even have time to take a picture. We pass the island of Atoko where we anchored with our Maja in the "One House Bay" in July 2015, then go along Ithaca to the south. We turn the southern corner of Ithaca and pass in front of "Ay Andreas Bay" where we had anchored with Hera II. We cross the fjord between the island of Ithaca and the island of Cephalonia, the wind is still always strong and in front even after changing direction, it follows the coast. We arrive at Efimia around 2 pm. The harbor master takes our moorings and recognizes us, he says. We had spent only a few hours here in October 2018, time to drop our friends Knut and Margrethe. We put our nose as usual on the dock and the anchor behind. It's pretty quiet in the harbor but with good gusts at times. Lunch, stillestund and some shopping on foot. Then first bike ride in the valley behind Efimia. We have a choice: the road or a dirt road. Jens wants to try the dirt road but it’s really stony and we don’t go very far. It is actually a hiking trail, a map on the port shows several ones. The weather is variable, clear then cloudy and even a little rain. We dine outside but it starts to rain and half of the table is wet, but under the awning it’s ok.
